Finding your way back to one another
Therapy for couples who feel stuck, distant, or caught in the same arguments; a space to understand what's happening between you, and to find new ways of connecting.
Every relationship is shaped by two histories, two families, and everything each of you brings. I'll hold a space for both of you, without taking sides, where you can each feel heard and begin to understand one another differently.
You don't need to be in crisis to come; sometimes it's about tending to something before it grows.
Areas couples often bring
Working with the relationship, not against either of you
Couples therapy looks at the relationship itself, the patterns, roles and ways of communicating that have built up between you, rather than treating one partner as the problem. Often, a painful pattern starts to make more sense once we can see it from both sides.
My role is to hold a balanced space where both of you can feel heard, without taking sides, and where new ways of understanding and supporting one another can begin to grow.
Couples therapy may help when…
- You keep having the same argument, without ever resolving it
- Communication has broken down, or important things go unsaid
- You feel more like flatmates than partners
- Trust has been broken and you're trying to find a way through
- You're navigating a big change together
- You're facing a difficult decision together, or wondering which way to go
- You want to feel closer again, and reconnect with what brought you together
What to expect
A first conversation
We can start with a free 15-minute phone call, a chance for me to introduce myself and my approach, and for you both to sense whether I'm the right therapist for you. From there, we can arrange an initial session to talk through what's bringing you.
Working together
We then meet at a regular weekly time, which gives the work a steady, dependable rhythm. Sessions last 60 minutes. The pace is set together, and my role is to hold a fair, balanced space where you can both be heard.
Not sure if this is the right step?
Whether you're facing something painful or simply want to feel closer, you're welcome to get in touch with any questions, or to arrange a first conversation. You can start with a free 15-minute phone call, with no obligation, just a chance to ask anything and see whether working together feels right.
